Archive, restore or delete an event

At the bottom of an event's Settings page is a Danger Zone with two actions. One is fully reversible; the other is not — and the app is built so you have to go through the first before you can reach the second.

The Danger Zone

Think of archiving as the "are you sure" step before deleting. It's reversible, doesn't touch any data, and is available to the organization owner and to an admin who owns the event. Deleting is permanent and available to the organization owner only.

Archiving

Archive locks the event — nobody except its owner or the organization owner can edit anything on it, the same lock a Completed event gets. An amber banner reminds everyone on the event that it's archived.

Restoring

Restore unlocks an archived event again at any time, from either its Settings page or the Archived filter on the Events list. Nothing is lost while an event is archived — restoring puts it back exactly as it was.

Deleting

1
Archive it first
Delete only becomes available once the event has already been archived.
2
Confirm — this is permanent
Delete removes the event and everything under it: tasks, budget entries, RSVPs, sponsors, tickets, photos, all of it. This cannot be undone.

Only the organization owner can delete. Not any admin — even one who owns the event. This is the one action in the app reserved for the org owner alone.
