Log revenue and set a goal

EVERYONEUpdated 23 Sep 2026·3 min read

The Budget tab tracks money coming in against goals, the same way it tracks spending against the estimated budget.

Setting goals

In the Goals card, owners and admins set a target for one or more goal types: Overall, Tickets, Sponsorship, Auction, Donation or Other. An event has at most one goal of each type. The event's revenue is measured against all of its goals added together, and events created from an event type often arrive with a goal already set up for you to fill in.

Logging revenue

Anyone on the team can click Add revenue and record the source (Tickets, Sponsorship, Auction, Donation or Other), amount, date received and optional notes.

What counts automatically, and what doesn't

Received sponsorships and donations count on their own. An entry marked Received on the Sponsors tab is added to the event's revenue automatically, on the Budget tab, the Dashboard and Reports. Don't log it again as revenue.

Ticket sales don't count automatically. The Tickets tab tracks how many tickets were sold, but that money reaches the budget only when someone logs it as Tickets revenue.
