Log a donation

Donations move through the same pipeline as sponsorships. The only difference is the type you give the entry.
Donation vs. sponsorship
Both live on the event's Sponsors tab and move through the same four stages: Prospect, Contacted, Committed and Received. The type decides how the money is labeled when you read it back: Reports shows revenue by source, so donations and sponsorships appear on separate lines.
Logging one
Add an entry on the Sponsors tab, set Type to Donation, and pick the donor from your Supporters directory or add them on the spot. Move it to Received once the gift arrives, and it counts as revenue automatically.
