Turn a placeholder into a real login

When someone you added as a placeholder is ready to sign in, invite them from their placeholder. When they accept, the placeholder becomes their login and keeps all of its work.

Step by step

Click Invite to log in
On the Team page, find the placeholder and click Invite to log in. Their name and skills are filled in for you.

Add their email and role
Enter the email they'll sign in with, pick Member or Admin, and click Send invite. The invite appears under Pending invitations, marked with the placeholder it will take over.

They accept
Once they follow the link in the email and set a password, the placeholder row turns into their login. Nothing else to move.

You can also start from the main Invite button: it asks whether the person is a placeholder already on your team.

What carries over

Their tasks, workstreams and bucket defaults stay theirs. Everything assigned to the placeholder is now assigned to their login, including events they own. If you picked different skills on the invite, those replace the placeholder's skills.
