What each role can do
Everyone in your workspace has one of three roles: Owner, Admin or Member. Your role sets what you can do across every event, and a few extra permissions come from the event or task itself.

Anything under a Completed or archived event is locked for everyone except the organization owner and the event's own owner, whatever their role. See what locks when an event is completed.
Owner
Owners can do everything an admin can, on every event. Only owners can delete an event (once it has been archived), and only owners can edit any Completed or archived event. They can also archive, restore or hand off any event. Owners manage Plan & billing and the Danger zone, where the workspace is exported, transferred or deleted.
A workspace can have more than one owner. Only an owner can make someone else an owner or take the role away, and the app won't let the last owner be removed. When no one else on an event has the skill a task needs, the task falls to the owner.
Admin
Admins run the team and the events. They invite people as admins or members, add placeholders, move people between the Admin and Member roles, and manage task buckets, expense categories, branding, the organization profile and the team's notification defaults.
On any event, an admin can change its settings, add or remove workstreams, reassign tasks, bulk edit or delete tasks, set budget and RSVP goals, and choose who manages RSVPs. Admins also get the Gantt view of every event on the Events page and the Needs attention list on the Dashboard.
Admins can archive, restore or hand off only the events they own. And no admin can delete an event, even one they own. That is reserved for the organization owner.
Member
Members do the day-to-day work. They can create events, add tasks, and edit or complete the tasks assigned to them, including dates, notes and checklists. They can comment and @-mention on any task they can see. They can log expenses, revenue, ticket types and sales, sponsorships, photos and files, and they can keep the Supporters directory up to date.
Members can't reassign tasks, change an event's settings, set goals, or manage the team. They can edit their own title and skills from the Team page. Skills decide which tasks get assigned to them automatically, so keep them accurate.
Visibility is role-based too. Members only see events that are Active or Completed, plus any they created themselves. See what members can't see for the full list.
Permissions that come from the record
The event's owner is whoever created it, or whoever it was handed off to later. They keep edit access after the event is locked. If they're an admin, they can also archive, restore or hand it off.
A task's assignee can edit and complete that task even as a member. Only an owner or admin can change who it's assigned to.
RSVP managers are members an owner or admin has picked on an event's RSVP tab. They can update the confirmed headcount, but not the RSVP goal.
